Consulting built on real operational experience

OBUS exists to help operational businesses work better — not with theory from a distance, but with hands-on support from someone who has led the work where it happens, across global supply-chain and operational environments.

Our story

Why OBUS

OBUS was founded on a simple observation: companies like yours don't struggle because of a lack of ambition or effort. You struggle because the way work flows hasn't kept up with how your business has grown — processes get tangled, projects stall, and good people spend their days fighting friction instead of moving forward.

Big consultancies rarely fit these businesses. They arrive with overhead, jargon and a playbook built for enterprises. OBUS was built to be the opposite: close, practical and right-sized — a partner who works inside your operation, not above it.

The name is personal, too. OBUS comes from the founder's own name, Oliver Bust — a deliberate choice that says you're dealing with a person, not a brand layer. When you hire OBUS, you get Oliver: the same hands that diagnose the problem are the ones that help put the fix in place.

  • A personable sparring partner. You work directly with the person who solves the problem — approachable, hands-on, no account layers and no handovers.
  • Operationally grounded. Experience earned in real working environments, not just in slides.
  • Practical by default. Every recommendation is something your team can actually do.
  • Focused on you. Built around your reality, your budget and your pace.

Who you'll work with

Oliver Bust

Your consultant & sparring partner

You'll work with Oliver Bust. His career has been spent inside global operational and supply-chain environments — the kind of businesses OBUS now serves — most recently leading process excellence and the commercial side of a group-wide transformation across more than 30 branches worldwide, at the head of an international team of project and process specialists.

That work has a measurable track record. Across global operations, Oliver has led improvements that cut process variation by over 50%, reduced order-handling time by up to 70%, and lowered customer claims by more than 80% — building commercial processes that handle well over USD 100M a year and rolling new, digital ways of working out to 700+ vessels and more than 2,000 users.

Alongside the operational side, he has designed and implemented the systems that run modern operations — document, transport, warehouse, CRM and e-commerce platforms, plus automation — and increasingly on identifying where AI delivers real, practical advantage, alongside the security and governance that come with it. OBUS channels all of this into structured methods drawn from Lean Six Sigma and Scrum, translated into changes you can put to work.

The result is a consultant who speaks your language, understands your floor, and stays hands-on from first conversation to lasting result.
